In 2018 Adam and Natalie Este were dedicated to making a difference saving and training blind horses and giving them their retirement as a hobby.
In 2022 a passionate and dedicated group formed and created this safe haven for blind equine to live normal lives just as their sighted friends. In doing so, we also make room for all sighted equine in need. The sighted are rehabilited and trained before being adopted to the general public. Some of the blind may be adoptable but most of them live in sanctuary here for the remainder of their lives. To give back to the public, we provide free educational classes and events to learn about and even ride a blind equine!
We are totally volunteer based and no one makes any money here to assure that all funding goes directly to the equines needs.
Currently we are not accepting anymore volunteers at this time due to no extra helpers needed. All volunteers must have a driver's license, their own transportation and must go through a background check.
If youd like to visit the rescue, its by appointment only.
Did you know that we provide free educational classes, visits and events?! Call us today to schedule whatever interests you.

Sometimes were asked how we deal with growth and long-term care. Thanks to the generosity of trusted volunteers, our blind horse rescue has access to over 57 acres of additional land whenever space is needed. This allows us to ensure every horse always has a safe, secure option.
To maintain stability and clarity in care, personal horses are kept separate from rescue horses, aside from brief, supervised interactions. This helps us preserve consistency and protect the integrity of the rescue environment.
Horses in our care are not listed for adoption until they are fully cleared medically. Some horses will remain with us permanently, and that is part of our commitment. When a horse is not adopted, it is always a thoughtful decision based on the individual horse’s needs and best interests.
We've learned that successful placement depends on the right match. While many foster and adoptive situations work beautifully, others help us refine our process and reinforce why careful screening and follow-up matter. One example is this, one horse was tied to a tree and abandoned with a simple text to void contract and come get the horse. What if I didnt check my phone right away?
Above all, our responsibility is to advocate for each horse to ensure they are safe, respected, and supported for the long term. Whether that future includes adoption or lifelong sanctuary with us, every horse here is home.
Stay tuned for adoptions once some horses are fully cleared. Sometimes this process takes a year or more, prioritizing their medical needs is the responsible thing to do, so patience is key.
